Angel City Audio, owned by Hugh Nguyen, is the North American Distributor for the Onix and Melody brands, but he has been hard at work on some new products of hisown. The first project is almost at the finish line, and the result is a set of stand-mounted LCR speakers in two versions: deep and shallow. the deeper ones are meant to be used up front, with the greater cabinet volume allowing better bass extension, and the shallower model makes a great center channel and surround speaker. Of course depending on your space requirements, either model can be used in any position.
The new speakers have reached what I'm calling "release candidate" stage, and are making their way around the country from dealer to dealer, so that we can all hear them and give feedback before they go into production. After stops in Colorado and Michigan, my turn will be this weekend, and they will then be headed to North Carolina, Alabama, Texas, and California before the demo tour ends and production begins.
